What is Tyvek®?

Last Updated: Mar 09, 2013 01:45PM EST

This unique material is made from very fine, high-density polyethylene (H.D.P.E.) fibers that are spun at high speeds to interlock in random patterns, resulting in a superior fabric that is tough as nails but also lightweight and breathable.

These distinct properties make it a popular material for the medical, construction, apparel and stationery industries. Tyvek is also low-linting, smooth and opaque.

The ph neutral Tyvek material is non-toxic and is printed with SGS environmentally friendly inks. Tyvek is made with 25% recycled material and is itself 100% recyclable.
